We are so happy to share this last chapter of our adventures in Barcelona, Spain! We spent a total of ten days in this amazing place and here are just some of the highlights of our trip. Being photographers it is so hard not to share every single photo! Enjoy! 🙂
First day in Barcelona, woo hoo! 🙂 Our first stop was Parc Guell and it sure was an awesome way to start our stay in this incredible city. This area of gardens and homes was designed by famous Barcelona artist Antoni Gaudi. His architecture is scattered throughout Barcelona and is a major focal point of the city.
Our friend Julia, doing her signature jumping pose!
We call these gingerbread houses.
We were lucky enough to be able to attend a football game! Barcelona beat Leverkusen 2-1!
The Arc de Triomf in Barcelona.
One cool discovery we made were these old greenhouses. It was a rainy day so it was nice to go inside for some shelter and explore a little.
Casa Balto. Another one of Gaudi’s famous works here in Barcelona.
One day we drove up the coast to Costa Brava, which is a region about 2 hours outside of Barcelona.
The Salvador Dali museum in Figueres, Spain.
La Boqueria, is a popular market located off of the famous Las Ramblas in Barcelona. There was so much to see and eat, we wanted to try everything!
La Sangrada Familia is probably Barcelona’s most famous landmark and was also designed by Antoni Gaudi. It’s already been under construction for over 100 years and is still under construction today.
One night we headed down to Plaza de Espana to go watch the lights at the Magic Fountain. On our way we happened to pass by a street performer blowing huge bubbles. We were so amazed!
The Magic Fountain light show.
One of the cool things about most of the museums in Barcelona is that they are free the first Sunday of every month! We took advantage of this awesome deal and visited the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya, the Botanical Gardens, the Pablo Picasso Museum and the History Museum.
The Gothic quarter Barcelona, Spain.
The Barcelona Cathedral.
We took another day trip up to the mountain of Montserrat. The mountain is only accessible by cable car or train. We opted for the cable car and it was so much fun!
Barcelona Cemetery.
The streets of Poble de Espana.
Barcelona was such an amazing experience, and we can’t wait to go back again sometime soon! We hope you enjoyed these photos of our adventures and can’t wait to share more from our other upcoming destinations 🙂
