To be honest, we had never even heard of Curacao before Lauren contacted us about shooting her wedding there! After a quick google search I learned it was an island in the Caribbean and a stunning island at that! To say we were excited to be photographing a wedding here was an understatement. Our bride and groom had never traveled to Curacao before their wedding either, so it was a fun surprise exploring it together with them! The day began with Lauren and Brian getting ready for their first look at the Avila Beach Hotel which is also where their beach ceremony would be held later that day. After their first look, we photographed them all around the town of Willemstad which is known for it’s colorful historic houses and Dutch architecture. Next up was the ceremony were Lauren and Brian were surrounded by 30 or so of their closest family and friends. What is really amazing about destination weddings is that people in the bride and groom’s life traveled hundreds and some thousands of miles to be there and share in that special moment with them. This was a wedding celebration full of so much love and we were thrilled to travel there and be a part of it.
