We are so excited to be sharing this San Francisco Engagement session today! What could be better than shooting an engagement session in one of favorite our places ever with some amazing people? Nothing! 🙂 Tim and Ashley are one of our future bride and grooms this year and just moved to Boise from the Bay Area. After some collaboration we all thought that San Francisco would be the perfect backdrop for their engagement photos. Since we traveled for the occasion, we made a day of it and got to explore some of Tim and Ashley’s favorite local spots while photographing them! We met up for lunch at one of their favorite restaurants, a Puerto Rican place called Sol Food just outside of the city in San Rafael. It was DELICIOUS! Next we headed over to the charming little town of Sausalito which is just across the way from San Francisco. We walked along the docks and enjoyed the view of some lovely sailboats and even found the most darling local flower shop. All of that strolling and shopping had us all a little exhausted so we stopped for a quick bite over at a place in Cavallo Point. After some delicious treats and a couple drinks we were back on our way to exploring.
Next up we headed off to one of Tim’s favorite spots, the Marin Headlands. On our way up, we just couldn’t pass up a photo op at the Golden Gate bridge. Once we reached the headlands, it was a little windy but that didn’t stop us! We got some amazing views of the bridge, the bay, and the city. While exploring some more, we found ourselves at Rodeo Beach. Since the weather was a little chilly we practically had the whole place to ourselves! After much wind and salt water blowing through our hair we headed across the Golden Gate and into the city. One of Ashley and Tim’s spots that they frequented when they were living in the city was the San Francisco Ferry Building. This area is full of local shops and vendors, one of which is Blue Bottle Coffee, a favorite of theirs. The evening was beginning to die down and for the last bit of our shoot we decided to shoot at a very important location. Tim actually proposed to Ashley right outside the Ferry Building with a view of the Bay Bridge in the background, so of course they wanted photos there. How romantic is that?! We went back to this spot and captured our last few photos of the night. It was such an amazing day, going on an adventure with these two.
We really love it when our clients become some of our best friends. Tim and Ashley are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet and we were so blessed to be able to spend a day with them in San Francisco. What a treat for us! The love they have for each other is amazing and we can’t wait to photograph their wedding this fall!
